Uppingham School Symphony Orchestra perform an evening of symphonic classics in the Memorial Hall, conducted by Andrew Webster.

Beethoven Symphonies 5-9

Our 2025 Chamber Music Festival explores the symphonies of Ludwig van Beethoven, with music from all nine symphonies performed in various chamber arrangments across the weekend.

In this final concert of the weekend, pupils are joined by professional musicians from London Serenata to perform selections from Beethoven's final symphonies, including the monumental 'Ode to Joy'.

Despite living next door to each other, their gangs might as well be on the opposite sides of the city. Then one evening, fate strikes. What follows is two days of gun fights and raves, of love and heartbreak.

Alongside one of the most famous string suites – the Holberg Suite by Edvard Grieg, Uppingham’s Chamber Orchestra return this year with a re-enactment of The Thirty Years War, as heard through the ears of on the 17th century’s greatest composers – Henrich Biber.  

Returning with their sell-out Cocktails, Canapes and Cabaret evening, Uppingham's Jazz Orchestra present a dynamic and energetic evening of music-making.

Young Jane and Michael have sent many a nanny packing before Mary Poppins arrives on their doorstep. Using a combination of magic and common sense, she must teach the family members how to value each other again.

Uppingham School’s pupils and staff join with the local choral societies of Uppingham and Stamford to present Mozart’s Requiem, the work left incomplete at the composer’s death. Accompanied by a professional orchestra and soloists, hear this iconic work sung by a massed choir of 200 singers in an electrifying collaborative performance which closes our Spring Term.

Shipwrecked on a deserted island, a robot named Roz must learn to adapt to its new surroundings. Building relationships with the native animals, Roz soon develops a parental bond with an orphaned gosling.

Legendary cricket broadcaster, Henry Blofeld, takes the audience on a charming journey through modern cricket, while looking back at the great games of yesteryear.

With his signature wit and insight, he compares the cricketing landscape of today with cherished memories.

Henry began writing about cricket, for The Times, in May 1962 and in 1972 he started his long career as a commentator with the BBC's Test Match Special.
