Pupils from our String Faculty perform solo and small ensemble works in a showcase of their hard work and achievements this year.

Returning with their sell-out Cocktails, Canapes and Cabaret evening, Uppingham's Jazz Orchestra present a dynamic and energetic evening of music-making.

Set in the jazz age of the roaring 20s, Chicago tells the story of Velma Kelly and Roxie Hart, two women searching for stardom while also being tried for murder. Both of them land in the Cook County Jail and plot their comeback to the spotlight and release from prison.

A joint concert with Uppingham Choral Society and Stamford Choral Society

Uppingham School’s pupils and staff join with the local choral societies of Uppingham and Stamford to present the second part of Handel’s masterpiece oratorio, Messiah. With professional soloists and orchestra, hear this iconic work sung by a massed choir of 200 singers in an electrifying collaborative performance which closes our Spring Term.

The Ronnie Scott's All Stars are the 'house' band at Ronnie Scott's and have been playing at the club since 2007. The quintet features a vocalist and a saxophonist alongside a trio comprising of Piano, Bass and Drums.

This show is a history of the club from its origins through to the present day and is a mix of live jazz, narration, rare archive photos and video footage. It features classic music from the jazz greats who have performed at the club over its incredible 60+ year history such as Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Nina Simone and Buddy Rich. There is also instrumental music including a composition by Ronnie himself. Alongside the music there are tales of old Soho with anecdotes about miscreant musicians, film stars, celebrity visitors, gangs and police raids. This is a unique show and is a fitting tribute to one of the world's most famous jazz venues.

Following a day of classes, rehearsals and demonstrations, Uppingham’s pupil guitarists join together for a public concert celebrating acoustic, electric and bass guitars.

Directed by Head of Strings Michał Ćwiżewicz, Uppingham School Chamber Orchestra perform Mozart’s Divertimento in D, and Ach, Ich Fuhl’s from ‘The Magic Flute’, performed by soprano Grace Hillis, alongside the heart-aching Adagietto from Mahler’s Fifth Symphony and Benjamin Britten’s Simple Symphony.

Things. is a play about a group of young people struggling against the pressure to succeed and the manipulations of TV, each finally realising that they can achieve amazing things on their own terms. A contemporary comic masterpiece for young people.

Six Uppingham pupils perform concerto movements by Bruch, Mozart, Strauss, Sarasate and Saint-Saëns alongside professional orchestra, the London Mozart Players.

London Mozart Players are the oldest, freshest and most adventurous chamber orchestra in the UK. Our annual multi-venue celebration of music features pupils from across the school presenting a joyous evening of performance.

This year, our Jazz, Pop and Music Technology Faculty musicians perform alongside Uppingham School Symphony Orchestra in a symphonic reimagining of hits by legendary soul artist Sade.

Following a widely celebrated 2025 tour, Ballet Central returns in 2026 with a brand-new company of dancers and a revitalising programme of classical ballet and contemporary dance.

The 2026 programme presents a mixed bill of four works, including the quirky, dream-like world of Solitaire by Kenneth MacMillan, plus the glamorous Times Square Ballet, an excerpt from Ashley Page’s musical On The Town.

The Arsonists

A darkly comic play about complacency and complicity, where a respectable businessman, Biedermann, naively welcomes two menacing arsonists into his home, filling his attic with gasoline barrels, refusing to see the danger until his own house is ablaze. A visual spectacle full of laughs, bad decisions and somewhat spectacular explosives.

Recommended age: 11+

Music Scholars from Fourth Form, Lower Fifth and Upper Fifth present an evening of solo musical performances showcasing the culmination of their hard work across the academic year.
